Rupert writes: Cambridgeshire (and neighbouring counties) have been placed in tier 2 after the national restrictions end. This means we can restart some small group rides - both official booked group rides and your informal group rides - from the morning of Wednesday 2 December. There is a legal limit of just six riders on these rides (the "rule of six") so you must contact the leader to book a place on all our rides. Remember that any informal groups are also subject to the same limit of six and in both cases the group must stay outside at any cafe stops.
As before, please read our Supplementary guide for riders while Covid-19 restrictions apply.
On behalf of the club I would like to express a strong "thank you" to our Saturday ride leaders for "going the extra 20 miles" and offering to restart these rides as soon as the rules allow. The restrictions may change in the future but meanwhile let's enjoy the chance to ride in small social groups again.
We only announce club rides if we have a leader for those rides. So this also a gentle request to any registered leaders to email Rupert (contact details) if you would like to lead a booked club ride in the near future.
